Who We Are
The Energy Workers Coalition is a nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to protecting the rights, safety, and economic security of the electric and gas workers who fuel American homes, businesses, and communities.
We were founded on a simple belief: the workers who keep the lights on and the heat running deserve a strong voice in the policies that shape their industry and their futures. Too often, energy debates center on technology, finance, and politics, while the people on the ground, who know the system best, are left out of the room. We put them back in it.
Our Values
-

Workers First
Every policy position we take starts with a simple question: how does this affect the people doing the work?
We measure success by the security and dignity of the workforce we represent.
-

Infrastructure Integrity
Reliable energy infrastructure is not negotiable.
We advocate for the investments and protections needed to keep these systems safe, modern, and resilient.
-

Nonpartisan Advocacy
Energy workers are Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. We work across the aisle to build coalitions and find common ground on behalf of all of them.
-

Accountability
We are accountable to the workers we represent. We aim to support them with clarity and consistency.
Key Issues
-
America's electric and gas workers have spent decades building expertise that cannot be replaced overnight. We fight to protect their jobs, wages, and benefits — and to ensure any shifts in energy policy don't leave skilled workers behind.
-
Reliable and affordable energy isn't a luxury, it's the backbone of our economy, healthcare system, and national security. We advocate for policies that prioritize the maintenance, investment, and resilience of the gas and electric systems that workers operate every day.
-
Policy decisions that affect energy workers are too often made without them. The Coalition brings workers to the table so their expertise and their families' futures are part of every conversation.
